2025年4月にニューオリンズで開催されたIMM 2025 の参加報告

2025年4月10日から12日、アメリカ・ニューオリンズで開催された米国内科学会（ACP）年次総会2025に参加し、ポスター発表を行いました。

今回の参加は、米国内科学会日本支部総会2024で発表したIgA血管炎の症例報告により黒川賞を受賞し、Chapter Winnerに選出いただいたことがきっかけです。支部からの温かいご支援により、初めて海外の学会に参加する貴重な機会をいただき、心より感謝しております。

会場となったErnest N. Morial Convention Centerは規模も活気も圧倒的で、世界各国から集まった医師や医学生たちの熱意に刺激を受けました。
ポスター発表では、IgA血管炎の診断・治療経過について報告し、米国の先生方から多くの質問や意見をいただく中で、異なる医療アプローチを肌で感じることができました。

また、ポスターセッションの合間には、近くで発表していたアメリカのレジデントたちと交流し、互いの研修環境やキャリア観について語り合う機会にも恵まれました。この経験は、自分にとって非常に大きな励みとなりました。

今回得た学びを今後の臨床・研究活動に活かし、さらに成長していきたいと思います。貴重な機会をいただいたすべての皆様に、心より御礼申し上げます。

Report on Attending ACP 2025 in New Orleans

From April 10 to 12, 2025, I went to New Orleans, USA, to join a big medical meeting called ACP 2025. I gave a poster presentation there.

I joined because I won the Kurokawa Award after sharing a report about a disease called IgA vasculitis at the Japan Chapter meeting of ACP in 2024. Thanks to warm support from the chapter, I was able to join an international meeting for the first time. I am very thankful.

The place of the meeting, Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, was very big and full of energy. Doctors and medical students came from many countries. I was very excited and learned a lot from them.

In my poster presentation, I talked about how we found and treated the IgA vasculitis case. Many doctors from the U.S. asked me good questions. I could learn how medical care is different in other countries.

During free time in the poster session, I also talked with American resident doctors near my poster. We shared stories about our training and future dreams. That was a very happy and helpful time for me.

I want to use what I learned here in my future study and work. I thank everyone who gave me this great chance.
